feeling worried

Feeling ‘worried’ can describe lots of different feelings like being tired, upset, a bit shaky, feeling sick, frustrated or on edge. You might be worried about something, like a test, or you might not know why you feel worried, which is normal and okay too.

When you’re worried, you can begin to lack confidence and start feeling that you’re not good enough. This is also normal, but there are things you can do to feel better.

simple tips
  • Find someone you trust and talk to them – sharing a problem often makes it seem less huge
  • Stop, take a deep breath and focus on all the things you’re good or talented at, however small they may seem
  • Thinking positive thoughts will help you feel better in yourself
  • Distract yourself with an activity, exercise or eat something healthy
  • Find a comfortable spot to sit or lie down, slow down your breathing and chill out
